Previously sold as our standard retracts, these units are made from pressed aluminium with a brass bodied spring down piston. The standard wire leg will fit these units, or you can fit oleos that have a piano wire joiner. The advantage of these units is that the piano wire will act as a sacrificial joint and can bend during poor landings.
Focke Wulf FW 190 retracts illustrated
A far more heavy duty unit, made from CNC machined aluminium. The thickness of material is almost double that of the budget unit, making it very robust. This unit will only accept oleo legs, as the oleo fits directly into the retract. Made to a higher tolerance than the budget range, the pistons are air up, air down.
Bearcat retracts illustrated
Supplied by a leading manufacturer in the field, these units have a great track record. Manufactured in the US, these retracts are considered by many to be the best. The pistons are air up, air down, again designed for oleos only.
