Retracts 2

To reduce the number of components and simplify the retract installation YT International have introduced a electronic retract valve. This unit plugs directly into your receiver, by operating your transmitter retract switch the control solenoid opens and allows air to actuate the retracts, closing the solenoid allows the air in the retract unit to vent to atmosphere. Please specify connection fitting size (suitable for 3mm or 4mm compressed air pipe) when ordering RRP £40

Most of our scale and warbird ARTF’s are available at 2 different prices.
The standard price is for Option 1.

The kit price is reduced when purchased with either Option 2 or 3 (see below for more details).

Option 1:-
The basic ARTF model without retracts.

Option 2:-
The basic ARTF model + any of our retract sets (only the budget units can be used with the kit wire legs).

Option 3:-
The basic ARTF model + any of our complete retract sets (consists of retracts, oleos and aluminium wheels with rubber tyres).

Retracts and Oleos.

As with all moving parts things do wear and these are no different, we can supply replacement parts and or upgrades.

We recommend that all screws are checked for security before they are fitted to the airframe. If you find it necessary to remove any screws, to aid security a drop of thread lock should be applied to the thread part of the screw before refitting.

Budget retracts with nylon bushes

If you have upgraded the nylon bushes to the brass bushes you made find it necessary to ease the slot with a file to ensure the bushes don’t bind, as part of the assembly process a small amount of grease or Vaseline should be applied to the bushes.

To reduce any play in the retract operation, there are two cam adjusters these are the two chrome tubes, one either side of the retract block and are easily identified by a small hole in each. To adjust these one at a time, slacken the two screws, one either side, place a thin piece of wire into the hole in the chrome tube and rotate until the play is removed, retighten screws. Repeat the process for tube on the opposite side of the retract block, check retract for correct operation re-adjust if necessary.
