F4U Corsair ARTF

Why buy any other warbird?

When you can have:

?         An aircraft designed by a world renowned British company

?         The most accurate scale ARTF’s available for the money.

?         Composite Fuselage.

?         Un-like other ARTF’s you have specialized quality covering, spray painted to give colour matched cowl and moldings.

?        Custom graphic artwork pre-applied during the production process.

?         To prevent the decals from lifting the complete airframe is sealed with a two pack clear coat.

?         Custom formulated film with anti tear properties used on the flying surfaces helps keep  wrinkling to a minimum.

?        Specially designed wing geometry to give excellent low speed handling.

Nothing is more stirring than seeing a scale piston powered Warbird expertly flown in a spirited display. It truly makes you proud of your heritage, and of those who bravely battled for their own countries during those dark years. Re-live the experience with this superb, scale rendition of F8F Corsair.

Designed for discerning modelers who expect the best without spending a fortune. Clearly the most accurate ARTF’s available today, with all the charisma of the real aircraft. Why spend years to achieve the same quality, when within a few evenings you can be ready to take to the skies!

Our Warbirds come as standard with a fixed undercarriage to reduce the initial cost of your  build. Though there is always the option to buy our upgrades, at a later date if preferred, to add that little extra realism. This along with other scale upgrades is available from YT International.

The F4U Corsair in the paint scheme of the Corsair flown by Ira Cassius Kepford. Kepford was assigned to the 'Fighting 17' and arrived in time for the battle of the Solomon Sea, where he shot down 4 enemy aircraft and damaged a 5th, earning a Navy Cross in the process. In January of 1943 he and his wingman engaged 12 japanese fighters, and he scored another four kills. He finished the war with 16 confirmed kills and 1 unconfirmed, and many decorations.
